Premiere screenings of the latest films will be held before their release in Japan, with a lineup that includes 14 films.

In addition to films showcasing current trends in world cinema, there are features from Spain, Latin America, Taiwan, the Basque Country, and Hong Kong, as well as a special feature on director Zeffirelli!

Nippon Cinema Now
We have particularly selected Japanese films that should be introduced to the rest of the world. There are also special features on director Jojo Hideo, who is active in a variety of genres.

Animation
"Intersection of Visions" features nine topical films from both Japan and abroad. It includes screenings of films by directors who have won awards at international film festivals.

Japanese Classics
Two digitally restored films by director Satsuo Yamamoto are being screened, 40 years after his death, along with a digitally restored version of "Orochi".

Youth
A section dedicated to allowing boys and girls to experience the wonders of cinema. Films produced by junior high school students and silent films are also screened.

120th Anniversary Ozu Yasujiro "Shoulders of Giants"
Eighteen digitally restored films are screened, including world premieres and almost all of Ozu's films, in association with the National Film Archive.
